Coming from a middle-class family in Roxas City, he worked his way through college, never depended on his parents for support. His first job in the Philippines was as a communication engineer. At the height of the Philippines? struggle to establish itself economically after the ouster of the dictatorial government in 1986, he opted to work in Saudi Arabia.
In November 1992, he became one of the hopeful migrants. Driven by his goals and desire to establish a career on proprietorship, he single-handedly started Atlas Shippers in 1993 in the United States. By 1995, Atlas became a corporation. It was also in the same year that Atlas opened its branch in the Philippines. With their team effort and sheer determination to succeed they have successfully penetrated the market. Since then Atlas has consistently progressed year after year.
The year 2001 brought golden opportunities to Atlas to venture overseas. Offices in Hongkong, Italy and Singapore were opened to serve the Filipino community, evidence of Atlas' commitment to worldwide expansion. In response to the growing needs of the migrant Filipinos in the US, other services were likewise offered namely: Travel and Tours Services, Airfreight and Money Remittance.
In 2006, 7107 Islands Placement and Promotions, Inc. expanded its operations in Chino, California, U.S.A. to handle and coordinate with employers in the U.S.A. and Canada under the supervision of Felsie Longares and Jolly de Leon.
